Frisbee From A First-Dog Perspective

FFAFDP is a game where you are a dog playing frisbee with your owner. Play to your heart's content as time slips away from you in a fascinating way.

I made this prototype for my Art Games class where we were asked to use a video game as a medium to explore a concept we're interested in. I often think about how the passing of time is inevitable and the bittersweet feelings that accompany that, so this is my interpretation of that. I went with playing frisbee with a dog as the main activity of the game because it's something I really enjoy doing with my own dog and I always like to inject an aspect of myself in my games. I also thought it would be cool to explore how dogs experience time differently than humans do, therefore time is irregular in this game with changes happening in the world at almost every moment. I think the best thing about the game is that it immortalizes my dog on the internet doing her favorite thing :). Willow everlasting.

Controls:

        WASD – Walk around.

        Space Bar – Jump.

        B - Bark.         

        Escape - Quit game.
